Savory String Beans
- 1/2 lb. fresh string beans cut into 1″ pieces
- 1 teaspoon tarragon leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
- 1 cup sliced onion
- Place beans and onions in a saucepan containing 1″ boiling water, tarragon, black pepper and lemon juice.
- Cook, uncovered for 5 minutes or until beans are tender.
